Timeframe
The time required to complete a translation depends on a number of variables including content, the language pair, and the need for editing and any other formatting or stylization work needed. Our team of project coordinators can provide you with an accurate delivery date for your project. As a guide, the average amount of work a competent translator can handle in an average day is indicated below:
- English to Japanese translation: approx. 1,500 words/day
- Japanese to English translation: approx. 2,500 characters/day
*You will be provided with a delivery date based on the content of the source document (level of difficulty and technicality).
*Time required for editing and layout is not included.
Quick Translations
International Documentation Center offers a quick translation service to accommodate your needs for urgent translation projects. Two services are available, according to how fast the translation is required.
*Please note that these services do not include proofreading by editing staff.
- Express: 20%～50% of the regular fee; delivered within 24 hours
- Super Express: 50%～100% of the regular fee; delivered within 6 hours
